Bare en liten ting...

Har fått en hilsen fra Tracey som lurte på hva teksten på bildet betyr. Derfor en liten oversettelse for eventuelle andre ikke norsk-språkligere lesere. Til dere som leser både norsk og engelsk; har dere en bedre oversettelse så er jeg takknemlig for innspill.



Tracey left a comment on my last post, asking what the words on the stitchery means in english. The words mean something like " Relaxe, Christmas will come no matter what..." meaning Christmas will come wether you do any washing, baking and cooking or not.

I will be back in a day or two with some finishes I hope. Till then take care.

Møte i syklubben sysøstrene / Meeting the sewing sisters

Beklager, i det siste har det vært få blogg-innlegg fra meg. Har hatt det travelt både på jobb og privat. Lite tid til håndarbeid gir lite å fortelle om og få bilder å legge ut på bloggen. Håper å komme sterkere tilbake snart.

Sorry, over a week since last time. A lot to do at work as well as at home is why I haven`t been bloging. Hopefully it will soon be more time for the things I want to do, and not only those I have to do...

Sist helg var planen å få sydd litt, men først måte jeg ta et "skippertak" i og utenfor huset. Ting tar gjerne lengre tid enn jeg tror, så plutselig var det søndag ettermiddag uten at jeg hadde sydd et eneste sting. Huset ble imidlertid bra, både ryddig og rent. Da føles det ganske greit å starte en ny uke, selv om det ikke ble noe sying.

In the week-end I had planed to do some sewing, but had to do some housekeeping first. And some gardening too. It took more time than planed. The result is a clean and tidy house, but no sewing done.

Mandag hadde vi møte i syklubben, hjemme hos sysøster Hege. Fulltallig denne gangen. Som vanlig mye latter og moro når vi møtes. Det er ikke hver gang jeg har lyst til å holde på med noe, men jeg hadde nesten abstinenser etter helgen, så da fikk jeg gjort dette:

On monday I went to Hege`s, meeting "the sewing sisters". As usual a lot of laughter and fun. Some times I don`t feel like doing anything at our meetings, but this time I war happy to be doing some stitching. This is what I made during the evening:

Var gjort klar før jeg gikk hjemmefra, men alt stitchery som er gjort, ble gjort i løpet av kvelden, innimellom latterbrølene.

A free patterns from Northern Quilts. I prepared it before I left home, but the stitchery was done at the meeting.

I går kveld fikk Gråpus prøve min datters solbriller, ble han ikke fin,....hehe.

Last night one of my cats, Gråpus, was lucky enough to try my daughters sunglasses......hihi.

Tonight I have finished some baby socks, but have to take some fotos before you can have look. I`ll post some pictures whitin a few days.

Jeg har fått post / I`ve got mail

Jeg må begynne med å unnskylde bildekvaliteten, dagens bilder er tatt uten blits, og jeg var visst ikke helt stødig på hånden... Tok noen bilder med blits, men det ble så mye gjenskinn at det var vanskelig å se hva jeg hadde tatt bilde av.
First I have to say sorry for the blurry pictures, they are taken whitout the flash. I first took some using the flash, but they were fare too shiny. Wasn`t able to see what was in the pictures.

Jeg har planer om et lite veggbilde i gangen for å ønske velkommen til mitt hus. Men det må nok vente til romjulen eller etter nyttår for jeg har mange planer om julegaver og ikke minst det jeg skal lage til "sysøstrenes julesalg" i hobbybua hos Mette. Og dessuten min PIF-gave til Sonia, hvis jeg rekker før jul. Dette skal jeg nemlig lage til meg selv, kan ikke gi bort disse fine knappene.... hehe.

I wrote a mail to Sonya to say thank you, and I told her I think I will make a little wallhanging for my hall to welcome my guests. But as I also told Sonya it will have to wait untill christmas, or even next year because I have a lot of plans for christmas presents and work to do before "the sewing sisters christmas sale". And also a PIF gift for Sonia if I can manage before christmas

Quiltemagasinet, a norvegian magazine, this time whit a lot of advent and christmas projects (the link is to a page in norvegian language only). Take a look at the pictures to see some of them, the ones I like best i think. I know someone who is hopefully going to move into their new house before christmas, and I will try to make one of these projects as a little gift for them and the new house.

Har ikke sydd særlig siden sist, men har strikket flere slike babytøfler i ulike farger (bildet er lånt herfra) mens vi var på besøk hos mine foreldre i helgen. (Bilder kommer når jeg har festet tråder og montert dem.) Vi koste oss med å være sammen, uten å gjøre noe spesielt annet enn vanlig familieting, snakke og spise og snakke enda mer...

Not done any sewing lately, but some knitting during the weekend (picture borrowed here). I will show you some pictures later when they are finished. Just enjoyed beeing together with my parents whitout doing anything special. The usual family doings; talking, talking, eating good food, more talking....you know.

Still here, but not much to tell

Hi there,
I`m still here, but have had some busy days at work. Don`t get much done at home because I`m too tired. A little bit of knitting and some reading is all, no sewing. But some housekeeping of course, it have to be done. Not much fun to do it, but a nice feeling when it`s done.

Monday the sewing sisters met at Ingers place, it was fun, as always. A lot of laughter and some knitting done. And some planning; we discussed what to make for our christmas sale. More about that later.

Tomorrow I hope my son will go back to school. He`s had a bad cold and has stayed at home for three days. I just hope I won`t be ill too.

Will not be any sewing this weekend because we`re visiting my parents. Hopefully some knitting and may be some stitching. Hope to have some pictures to share when we get back.

Lucky girl

I seem to be a lucky girl these days. Think I may have to buy some lottery tickets or something.

I`haven`t been doing a lot of stitching yet, but I`ve tried it and think it`s fun. Here is a picture of my first stitchery, still not finished. Kristin Langebraaten has designed this Santa Mouse and his girl friend (below). I plan to finish both of them before christmas. I`m still not sure what to do with them, but may be two small wallhangings is the right thing.... Do you have any other suggestion? Feel free to leave a comment if you have an idea what to do.

I have been kniting a little lately too. When I saw this post I fell in love, and had to find out where to buy the pattern. When it arrived I was not able to wait, but had to start ASAP. Been knitting during the weekend, this is how fare I came. Had to do some washing too. Yesterday afternoon my parents stopped by on their way back home. They had visited my brother this weekend. He lives in the countryside a few miles outside Oslo.

Next time I hope to have something finished to show you. Untill then take care.
